Good Shepherd Lutheran Church 40th Anniversary (Post #6)

So, this happened 1 or 2 years ago. 

Actually, the idea was hatched more than 10 years ago--a bell tower to have our bell given a more prominent position off of the ground.  After years of offerings trickling in, a large portion was covered by the Alice Laho estate.  Plans were drawn up, then adjusted, then a wind-load study, and then finally the foundation was laid in 2019.  The structure was put in place in early 2020.  It was finally dedicated in summer 2020.  (Having it off the ground has not erased passers-by needing to ring it.  "Hey!  It sounds like a bell!")

Good Shepherd will acknowledge its 40th anniversary TODAY (Sunday, May 2, 2021).  Join us in person or on Facebook Live.

We are also anticipating an additional celebration in conjunction with our church picnic (date TBD) so that more people can be in attendance and maintain social distancing outside.
