Something from ... Lutheran Satire on the origins of Christmas

It is that time of year again where the assertions are trotted out like eggnog to be consumed by people who are eager to disbelieve the Bible or to be smarter than God.  If you do not hear people telling you that the December 25 date of Christmas comes from pagan origins, consider yourself fortunate.  Some even state that the birth of Jesus itself is copied from pagan sources and used to oppress people.  How a message of forgiveness and life everlasting freely given can be used to oppress people remains a mystery to me, but the claims are out there.

Most people don't take the time to research all these bald-face assertions in order to debunk them.  And since these assertions don't get exposed for the lies that they are, they tend to gain traction.  Some Christians are deceived by these assertions.  Rather than research them to see where the truth lies, some just abandon the Christian faith because they are convinced they have been lied to all this time.

Granted, no one wants to be played for a fool.  Just make sure you know who is actually fooling you!

Lutheran Satire to the rescue!  Rev. Hans Fiene produced this some years ago.  But repeated assertions against Jesus Christ will always need repeated rebuttals.  Here you go.  Enjoy!
