In Concert: James Taylor and Jackson Browne

Once again, a shout out and a big THANK YOU to Nathanael who purchased tickets and took me to see Jackson Browne and James Taylor.

Now the bad news: We were about a mile away from the entrance to DTE Energy Theater (aka, Pine Knob) when traffic was backed up.  It moved painfully slow.  It took us an hour and a half from one mile away to finally get parked.  Yes, it was that bad.  We got to hear Jackson Browne finish "Running on Empty" from the parking lot as we entered the main gate.  It sounded nice, but we missed his entire show.  Well, crap.

James Taylor, as expected, put on a great show.  We were in Row E on the right hand side of the stage (the selfie below is, of course, reversed).  I am used to sitting in the lawn seats, so this was amazing.  At least I paid for our dinner and the over-priced beer at Pine Knob.  I chose not to get the $40 T-shirt.  The photos are enough to prove I was there.  They are below.  (No bootleg recordings were made by me.)

Side note: The sax player is the same guy who played in the Blues Brothers movie.  The drummer is Steve Gadd, a legend in rock and roll circles.  James Taylor gets A-list talent to play for him, that's for sure!
