A Pastoral Concern, also a concern of Christian Life Resources

Below is a link to an article from Christian Life Resources (previously known as WELS Lutherans for Life).  While the whole article is worth your while, it is also beneficial to read how different Lutherans understand the Bible and how Lutherans, therefore, end up all over the spectrum of theology.

How can one set of Lutherans (WELS, ELS, LC-MS, and others) condemn the practice of abortion and another set of Lutherans (ELCA) support it?  Either it is God-pleasing or it is not.  (It's not.)  So, how does the ELCA defend this practice based on the Scriptures?  This article offers some insight.
