A Lutheran Satire Christmas -- Updated

I suppose this is as close as it gets for a box set of Lutheran Satire Christmas.  Here is a string of Lutheran Satire videos which maintain a Christmas theme.  Two of them feature Horus, and the third one gives a nod to him.

After Horus is shown that all efforts to discredit the veracity of the Christmas accounts in the Bible are based on lies, he is stunned to learn how many Christians have rejected the Biblical confession for the sake of diversity, inclusion, and equity.  Then you get to hear why Lutheran Christmas hymns are to be preferred to more shallow efforts (even if those shallow efforts have greater popularity).

NOTE: I concur with the plug for The Word Endures with Pastor Will Weedon.

I, regretfully, omitted this video about various Nativity sets.

Bonus material: Horus reads the internet.

The Word of the Lord Endures Forever -- A Study on St. John's Revelation

Here is a podcast that comes highly recommended: The Word of the Lord Endures Forever.  It is a 15-minute, daily (Monday-Friday) Bible study.  The host is Rev. William Weedon (LC-MS) who is a confessional Lutheran pastor.

One of the strengths of this Bible study is Pastor Weedon's regular references to theologians from the past--from Lutheran reformers to the Church fathers of the early Christian Church.  He keeps us mindful that we are part of a chosen people who are not limited to nationality, language, or age.

Just today, Pastor Weedon has begun a series on St. John's Revelation.  Since this book fascinates many Christians and can be very confusing, Pastor Weedon will do a fine job shedding light on it.

You can also find podcasts for several other books of the Bible which Pastor Weedon has already covered.  They are found in the archives.

Recommended for you -- The Word of the Lord Endures Forever podcast

If you have 15 minutes, you can benefit greatly from this daily podcast as Pastor Will Weedon (LC-MS) walks through portions of Scripture.  Pastor Weedon is very knowledgeable of the early Church fathers (e.g., Jerome, Augustine, Chrysostom, etc.) and refers to the devotional thoughts of the early Church often.  His own insights are well worth considering, too.

The Word of the Lord Endures Forever will soon begin a study of a new book, as noted in their publicity below.  While there is never a bad time to jump in, starting at the beginning of 1 Corinthians would be a great place to get going.  There are many previous podcasts to consider as well.

1 CORINTHIANS BIBLE STUDY… The Word of the Lord Endures Forever is a daily 15-minute verse-by-verse Bible study produced by Lutheran Public Radio in Collinsville, IL and hosted by LCMS Pastor Will Weedon.  Pastor Weedon will begin a study this week on 1 Corinthians.  You can listen at your convenience at thewordendures.org, the LPR mobile app and your favorite podcast provider.
