Lutheran Satire -- Ishtar Ruins Easter

We put up our Facebook ad to promote our Easter Journey for Kids (which was held Saturday, March 28).  That ad prompted a number of nasty responses.  To be charitable, I will say that the charges laid against us were misinformed.  Among the charges was the claim that we are celebrating a pagan holiday with our Easter services.

This charge resurfaces every Easter.  So, this retort from Lutheran Satire may have to make the rounds every Easter, too.  Share it as you please.

Lutheran Satire and the defense of Easter

It is that time of year when, once again, people will be saying that the Christian faith has spawned from pagan sources.  In this case, it is the alleged connection of Easter to Ishtar or some other nonsense.  While many have debunked all this with reasoned defenses, why not have some fun with it?  So, here is Lutheran Satire addressing this issue for us.

Easter is pagan???  So claim many who despise the Christian faith.  Horus gets refuted again.  Enjoy!

A Lutheran Satire Christmas -- Updated

I suppose this is as close as it gets for a box set of Lutheran Satire Christmas.  Here is a string of Lutheran Satire videos which maintain a Christmas theme.  Two of them feature Horus, and the third one gives a nod to him.  

After Horus is shown that all efforts to discredit the veracity of the Christmas accounts in the Bible are based on lies, he is stunned to learn how many Christians have rejected the Biblical confession for the sake of diversity, inclusion, and equity.  Then you get to hear why Lutheran Christmas hymns are to be preferred to more shallow efforts (even if those shallow efforts have greater popularity).
